I told you that this section is dedicated to people inspiring me with their passion. When I moved to Berlin I was very lucky to meet Marlene. Marlene is a fantastic girl with a very imaginative mind. She strives to challenge herself in good discussions about god and what not. I liked her right away. She is a very curious person and the time when I met her I listened to her when she was telling a story to our friend. She said that sometimes, when she gets home after a party or when she was just on the move somewhere, she has the inner urge to draw at night as if her creativity is at its best when the city sleeps and no body can disrupt her ideas. Her drawings are unique to me, she does everything with her hands with a pen on paper – the traditional way. Afterwards she scans in the drawings, she edits them digitally (adding colour and patching things up). See for yourself.
I love her drawings and I am amazed by her detailed hand work. I wish I could be so patient when drawing 🙂 Please check out her page here. You can see in the fish drawing that it is at first black and white and later on colour is edited digitally. What I enjoy must about her work is probably that you can watch it for a long time and still find something new in there.
If you have other people you really admire because of what they do, let me know in the comment box, I would love to explore them and knit a lovely story about them, so I can share it with you.
So long…much love,
